Napier engines have seen many uses on Land, Sea and in the Air. This section deals specifically with Napier engines which have seen use in other people's products.
Whilst the Company concentrated on producing aero engines after WWI many of their products saw use or were adapted for land applications. The Lion engine saw massive use in the air however it was used in numerous land speed world record attempts. In a similar vein the Deltic was designed as a marine engine however it saw use in the world famous Deltic railway locomotives. They were also used as generators for the Diplomatic Wireless Service as well as being fitted in the unique record breaking FDNY "SuperPumper".
Further applications are described and ilustrated in the links above.
